He is supposedly a Spartan , one of the warriors trained to near superhuman levels in the Halo universe, but he doesn't remember anything like that. He just remembers dying hundreds of times on the Pillar of Autumn in the last level of Halo.

Ted is the unluckiest person in the world. He has the worst luck of anyone else because he is Scott's best friend. He, therefore, has to endure many of Scott's purist rants on video games, almost constantly. It's no wonder his brain is almost totally melted..
